GCCF’s 47th Supreme Cat Show 2025

OB IGr FilensionSilver-Starlight (Percy) did himself proud at the Supreme Cat Show this year.  He started by being award Best of Breed by David Redtfelt , and was also awarded his first UK Grand title certificate. He then went forward to be judged for Best of Variety by judge Alison Lyall. Alison worked her way along a huge line up of 15 beautiful cats. Percy was the perfect showman and we were delighted when he was chosen as the Best of Variety Section 2 Neuter winner. This award also gives him his second Olympian certificate towards his Silver title

Percy was then taken up to the main stage to be judged for Best in Show. He was judged against the Neuter winners from the other 5 Sections by a panel of 3 judges, David Redtfeldt, Sue Dalton-Hobbs and Peter Williams. Percy was shortlisted into the final 2 where he was awarded the Reserve Supreme Neuter rosette with the Overall Supreme Neuter award going to a fabulous Asian Shorthair Female Neuter who then went on to win Overall Supreme Exhibit.

Huge congratulations to Percy, his extremely proud owner Rose Cox and breeder Helen Sallows of Filensio RagaMuffins. An amazing achievement for a young boy of only 19 months old.

5 April 2025

We are delighted to announce that we have another Olympian Gold RagaMuffin.

At the Shorthair & All Breed Cat Club of Scotland Show on Saturday 5th April 2025, OS IGr Ch Cheham Rainbow’s Gold (Esme) was awarded her 5th and final qualifying Olympian Certificate to be crowned with her new title of Olympian Gold Imperial Grand Champion. Esme is the first RagaMuffiin Adult to achieve the Gold title, her first appearance in the Olympian class was at the Teesside show in August 2019. Taking into account several breaks from the show bench due to mothering duties and the lockdowns, she went from new entrant in the Olympian classes, through the Bronze and Silver levels to attaining Gold in 24 attempts – and was always placed.

In addition, Esme was awarded an Olympian Certificate for an Overall Best In Show win at the Nor’ East of Scotland Show in May 2022. She has had outstanding success on the show bench over the years with several trips up to the top posh pens. We are extremely proud of what she has achieved throughout her Adult show career.

Many congratulations to Esme, her proud owner Linda McDowell and breeders Chris Powell-Wells & Allen Wells on this fabulous achievement.

Huge congratulations to Olympian Gold Imperial Grand Premier Cheham Chantilly Lace (aka Nelle) on achieving this high award. Supreme Show 22 October 2022

The best day in history for the breed had to be at the Supreme show on 22 October 2022.

Olympian Gold Imperial Grand Premier Cheham Chantilly Lace (Nelle) was awarded her UK Grand Premier title, a title which is only awarded at the Supreme show and now held by 3 of our beautiful RagaMuffins. On Nelle’s journey to the Supreme Show 2022 she has achieved 2 Best in Show Semi Long Hair Section 2 Kitten, 18 Best of Variety Semi Long Hair Section 2 Neuter, 9 Best in Show Semi Long Hair Section 2 Neuter and 4 Overall Best in Shows

To receive a Best of Variety award at any show is a wonderful achievement but to receive it at the Supreme show, the biggest GCCF cat show of the year, is just that extra bit more special. You can imagine our sheer delight and excitement when not only was Filensio Shimmering-Star (aka Ava) awarded Best of Variety Section 2 Kitten but UK Olympian Gold Imperial Grand Premier Cheham Chantilly Lace (aka Nelle) was awarded Best of Variety Section 2 Neuter.

The 2 girls sat proudly side by side in their posh pens next to the main stage waiting for the Best in Show judging to take place. As everyone watched on nervously, they were both judged in their relevant sections by a panel of 3 judges , Carol Pike, Helen Marriott -Power and George Gow. We were delighted when Ava was announced as Reserve Supreme Kitten 2022. Congratulations to Ava’s proud owners Tracey and Jolly Archer and to breeder Helen Sallows on an impressive accomplishment.

We were all so proud of what the breed had already achieved  but  then the announcement came that Nelle had won Supreme Neuter and then went on to win Overall Supreme Exhibit 2022. Congratulations to Nelle’s very proud owner Ellen Camilleri and breeders Chris and Allen Wells on such an amazing achievement.

Emotions were running high as tears of joy were shared by all. Nelle now also holds the prestigious title of Supreme. These are results that most people can only ever dream of but in 2022 that dream came true for the RagaMuffin.
